Bowling centers — directory, ownership & updates

BOWLMINE maintains a global directory of bowling centers. Here is how it works and what you can do — whether you are a regular bowler or a center owner.

Where does the list of centers come from?

Our directory is built from publicly available data — addresses, GPS coordinates, contact details and opening hours collected from across the web. It covers thousands of centers worldwide and is updated regularly.

Centers in this list are visible to everyone from the start. No one needs to "publish" them — they are simply there.

On top of this foundation, individual centers can be actively managed by their owners through the BOWLMINE operator portal. Managed centers tend to have more complete and up-to-date information.

I am a regular user. What can I do?

Suggest a new center — If a bowling center is missing from our directory entirely, use the Suggest a center button. An admin will review the suggestion and add it if confirmed.

Report a correction — On any center's page you will find a Report changes button. Use it to flag an outdated name, address, GPS location, website or number of lanes. Corrections reported independently by three or more users are automatically flagged for priority admin review.

I own a bowling center. How do I take over management?

Taking over a center does not require a role in advance: you receive the Bowling center operator role when your documents are approved or when you verify an email address on the center's domain (see below).

If you only need the role without taking over a center (for example, your center is not in the directory yet, or you are a colleague of the owner), request it on the Request role page in your account settings — you give a reason, a BOWLMINE administrator reviews the request, and you must be at least 18.

Your first center is free — claiming and maintaining one bowling center never requires a paid plan. Paid operator plans only add extra centers and marketing features on top of that.

If your center is already in our directory, open its page and click Claim this center. You will be asked to upload 2–3 photos of official documents confirming your connection to the venue — for example a utility bill, business registration extract or a lease agreement. An admin reviews the request and, once approved, your center receives a verified badge.

If your center is not in the directory yet, you can add it directly through the operator portal. The center will appear publicly straight away, but without the verified badge. Confirming your contact email marks it as managed by the operator; the verified center badge itself requires document verification, reviewed by an admin.

What does the verified badge mean?

A center with the verified badge is managed by someone whose connection to the venue has been confirmed by our team. Information on verified centers is more likely to be current and accurate.

While a verified center stays up to date, its page hides the community correction form — updates go through the operator instead. However, if the operator does not confirm or edit the listing for a long time (over a year), the page is marked as "may be outdated" and the community correction form is temporarily reopened, so the data can be kept accurate until the operator responds. Confirming or editing the center clears that mark and hides the form again.

What information can I maintain on my center profile?

Through the operator portal you can keep your center's contact information, address, and GPS location up to date. You can also list the number of lanes, equipment type, and oil patterns, add website links, and provide pricing information. Changes take effect immediately.

You can also add photos. The free tier includes 1 photo; paid operator plans raise the limit (Starter 5, Standard 10, Pro 20, Enterprise 50 photos per center).

Can I see how many people view my center?

Yes, on paid operator plans. In the operator portal, each of your centers has a Statistics page showing how many people viewed the center page and how many clicked your action buttons (reservation, e-shop, menu, social networks).

The depth depends on your plan:

  • Standard — a summary over the last 30 days: total views and total clicks.
  • Pro and Enterprise — the full view: a daily traffic chart, a trend versus the previous period, a breakdown of clicks by button type, and up to 365 days of history (Enterprise unlimited).

The Free and Starter tiers do not include statistics.

Statistics are private — only the verified center owner can see them. And they are anonymous: we only measure aggregate counts and store no personal data, IP addresses or visitor cookies. That is why no cookie banner appears on the center page because of statistics.

How do I keep my center marked as up to date?

Keeping the data correct is always free — that is exactly the upkeep we want from centers. Once a year we send the operator a short email asking whether the information is still valid. A single click on "Yes, everything is correct" confirms it; any edit in the operator portal counts as a confirmation too. If a center is not confirmed or edited for over a year, its page is marked as "may be outdated" and community suggestions are reopened until the operator confirms or updates it.

Can events appear on my center page?

Yes. When an organizer creates an event, they can select your center as the venue. Your center page then also shows the associated events automatically.

Who reviews everything?

Our admin team handles all verification requests, new center suggestions and flagged community corrections. We aim to review requests within a few business days.
